Description

⭐ While I like to support Australians I was not overwhelmed by this book. I had it on my phone to read while I was waiting for appointments etc and I concede that this is not the best way to read a book but I felt it was too obvious and frankly I am tired of detectives with problems which often take up more pages than the investigation..

⭐ Another mystery solved by Hardy. A story dominated by the strength and power of the Sydney harbour bridge. Something very familiar to Sydneysiders. Well worth a read.

⭐ Peter Corris has a good, lean, tight style. He does not rely on cheap plot devices. Unfortunately, Wet Graves is not his best, although it is more easily found in the USA than others. Try any of his other Cliff Hardy books before you try Wet Graves. Hint: you can find his other books at secondhand bookstores (Sorry, Amazon).

⭐ Great read about Sydney and its environs with a tight plot and some good characters living in a very Australian environment – I love the references to Radio National and other familiar things although I am not a Sydney sider
