⭐ I adored the characters in this story about a vampire trying to find her wings. Tory is not only a vampire but she’s also a witch. Simon is a 300 year old werewolf that doesn’t realize that Tory’s hometown is full of magical beings such as werewolves, vampires, witches, the Fates, garden gnomes and even a genie.Tory met Simon in Charleston when her brother was finding furniture for Simon. He saw Tory and was fascinated by her, but Tory ask his friend what blood type he was, insulting Simon by saying he wasn’t manly enough. Will Simon ever convince Tori that she is his fate?The characters are fantastic, believable and most of all funny. After all who would believe about vampire that has a blood allergy, ridiculous huh? The plot is a simple one about man beating the woman, man saving woman, and man fall in love with woman. The rest is pure enjoyment. I highly recommend this book and it can be read out of order. Have low rollicking good time reading this series. I’m absolutely bet on it that you would buy another book by the same author and continue reading the other authors of the series there are 20 + authors.bookwormsuzy

⭐ I’ve read and enjoyed this author before, so I was glad to get this novella as a freebie today. Something new and free for me to try out. It’s not a bad read. Has some sweet, quirky characters, a little hot sex with a lusty werewolf who’s ready to mate, and some insta-lust followed by love at warp speed. It’s love, but I wanted to feel it more.The hero is likable, all “mine” and possessive, but I needed more about him. There’s really not a lot offered up about him or his past. Maybe I missed something in my reading, but he seemed kind of vague. A little more to him would have been nice.The heroine’s likable, too. She’s innocent and sheltered by her family, but she seemed almost too young for her age. At one point, she even looks down bashfully and rubs her toe at the ground. Maybe I could have done without the aw-shucks vibe, but still, she’s cute and I do like reading the sweet, curvy heroines.Mostly sweet and easy, an okay read for me. Would’ve liked more time with h/H together and a little more story happening.

⭐ This is a really fun supernatural romance. It’s much more light-hearted than I’d expected, though. The heroine is a vampire who’s allergic to most blood types, and she falls in love with a rich werewolf who swoops in to save her in a graveyard. That should tell you exactly what to expect from this one. The supporting characters are pretty fun (if a lot of the “town” scenes veer too far into cutesy territory). The only real bum notes occur at the end, when the book tries to offer a dramatic endings to what had been up until that time a very light, frothy read. The tone is a bit off. Still, it’s mostly fun and very readable.

⭐ This was a great magic-shifter love story. I enjoyed it from start to finish, best part it was free! Hero is a werewolf shifter that becomes instantly obsessed and possessive of the heroine upon meeting her. Heroine is a vampire that comes from a town called Magic, Nevada. She has been sheltered by over protective family all her life. She finally gets her freedom and is ready to have some fun. However, before she can get started she was doing a favor for her brother when she happens to meet the hero. The action takes off from here and the sexual intensity of the hero was intense. Poor heroine did not stand a chance. She did try getting space to think but hero would not be denied. He was very alpha, dominant and possessive. He was not going to take no for an answer, and their first love scene had elements of forced seduction and dub con. He knew her weakness and exploited it to get her compliance. I loved the climax scene and ending. This book was well written and fast paced. It was steamy and had great written characters. I enjoyed this read and would recommend it. It is a safe read. There are no OW or OM, but there was drama from heroine at first thinking she could find a safe male to feed from. Hero was not having none of that! Thanks to the author for offering it for free!

⭐ I absolutely loved this book. Tory is a vampire that’s allergic to blood. And if that’s not enough to draw you in, there’s Simon, who believes that he is alone in this world, as a werewolf. He has no idea that there are more magical creatures around. He seems surprised that Tory is a vampire since she can walk around in the sunlight. It goes against what he thinks he knows about them.This book is a fun filled romp between two magical beings that find their HEA and I recommend it to everyone.

⭐ Loved it! Rereading the series in anticipation of the Kindle World books. Late night reading means I sometimes forget to review later. Anyway. Loved Tory and Simon!, who had brief appearances in Touch of Frost, but there twins just about stole the story. Tory and Simon’s story takes place about 9yrs before Frost. Tory is a 24 year old vampire witch and cousin to Lacey. She has an over protective father and 2 overprotective older brothers. Lacey has never left Magic and longs to see the world like her older brothers do. She gets her chance when her brother Alexandreu needs some help with his antique business in Charleston for a wealthy client. With an Aunt like Topper and the fates as godmothers, thing are not going to go they way she thinks. Simon is a few hundred year old werewolf who has hired Alexandreu’s company to outfit his estate in Charleston. When he sees Tory through the window his wolf wants her. His wolf has never wanted anyone like it does Tory. When Simon finally catches Tory, she is completely unimpressed by is Alpha wolf ways. A fun and steamy read. I really hope S E Smith gets back to this series. Alexandru and Benjamin. Tory’s brothers need a story. Youssef , Simons trusted R hand man needs a story too!

⭐ I got this book because it was free with my Kindle Unlimited subscription. I skipped the first book, due to price point, and decided to see if I liked the series before I paid that much for the first one and on down the line. Man, was I not disappointed. No wonder the books cost so much… it was awesome. I loved the richness of the world and the characters. The story was original and engaging, to me. It’s about a girl, a vampire, who’s got an allergy to blood…. all except one type. Her dad is very over protective of her because of her allergy and it drives her nuts. Anyway, he allows her to go on business trip with her older brother and she meets a werewolf. He’s a hot one, too!!! Smith writes him so vividly I can picture him!!!! She acts like she’s not interested in him when she really is….. He’s coming into his full-moon heat and wants her bad. He follows her around…. She goes walking and two men follow her… going to rape and kill her in the graveyard. He is going to save her but, she saves herself by biting one man while the other runs. Werewolf goes after him and catches him… His team arrests him but, he hears girl call out to him for help….. He finds her in pain, her allergy, and she drinks his blood. It gets real steamy there….wowza!!! The story continues and if I go further it will spoil it for you. The book never had a lagging moment and it kept me engaged page after page. I think I will go buy the first book and see if I like it as well as the second book- Taking on Tory. My mom recommended this author and, truthfully, I was reluctant to read this author because we don’t normally see eye to eye on our likes. But, she was right, dang it, I loved S.E. Smith and am now a fan!

⭐ This book quickly got to the point with the characters without a lot of beating around the Bush or having to use so many outside characters to get there. The banter between Tory and Simon was A+ material. I would have liked to see Simon more friendly with Youssef since he was more than just his head of security, he took care of Simon, but that’s just my opinion. Other than that, I absolutely loved the book. One of my favorite Magic, New Mexico stories!!!

⭐ This was a short & sweet book telling the tale of how Joseph & Jonah’s parents met.Tory Carson has always wanted to travel & visit other places; she gets that opportunity when her brother pays her a visit & takes her with him to Charleston.Simon Drayton is a werewolf & he doesn’t know that other creatures exist but, he will find that out once he discovers what Tory is & where she comes from.This was a very good book even though it had some sex scenes that weren’t very explicit but the story itself was good & it was interesting in finding more about the twins’ family.

⭐ This is another fun, imaginative getaway from reality. It is a quick book, with very little background story, or detail to it, so you definitely have to suspend reality for a moment with this book.The story revolves around Tory who has never really been allowed to travel and get out of Magic, New Mexico. A haven for all sorts of supernatural beings. She understands all the different types of supernatural beings in the world, but hasn’t had much worldly experience with actual humans. Through a little serendipity she meets Simon, who is a billionaire werewolf and completely unaware that there are any other supernatural beings. He honestly thinks he and his line of werewolves are the only ones out there. That was a bit of a stretch for me. But again, this is not intended to be a serious book.If you can take it as a short, entertaining story, then its a nice escape and I would recommend.
