Description

Fresh out of college, Ellison Edson has fallen through the cracks of rock bottom. While staying in her family’s vacation home in Colorado, her behavior has finally gained the attention of her parents—but not in the way she hoped. Cut off from the millions she’s always taken for granted, and left alone to fend for herself, Ellie spirals further out of control, making a mistake she can’t take back.

Like his twin brother Taylor, Tyler Maddox is a member of the Alpine Hotshots, fighting wildland fires on the frontline. As arrogant as he is charming, Tyler’s nomadic lifestyle makes it easy to contain his relationships to one night. When he meets Ellie at a local party during off-season, her extreme personality and dismissive attitude fascinates him at first, but as his feelings deepen, Tyler realizes that the crippling inner demons of the woman he loves might be the strongest enemy any Maddox has ever faced.

⭐ It’s a compelling and riveting page turner that will be pulling at your heart strings.Let me start of by saying I am a complete and utter mess.Nothing could have prepared me for the end of the Maddox brothers series. This can’t be the end.I can’t even begin to explain all the feelings I have.Devastatingly, Distraught.I tried to hold off on reading this book but I just couldn’t. I had to read Tyler and Ellie’s story.I loved Ellie! Yes, she’s hard to love with her hard attitude and drinking/drug problem but she never once denied she had a problem nor did she try put that blame on someone else. In my eyes she was a REAL person that anyone with addiction could relate to. Truth be told, you don’t have to have addiction to relate to her. Everyone has had some type of crisis that they have had to over come in their life and they have either trumpet over it or had plenty of failed attempts at trying to overcome it until they come to that point in their life where they are either going to keep being stuck in the same cycle or they are going to make the change for the better where they can actually do something to better their life. Who can’t relate to that?It was hard to read Ellie’s journey sometimes because you were wanting to scream at her to not do something or not to even put herself in the situation that she knows what predicament its going put her in but ever one has to hit rock bottom at some point and overall she’s a good person but she’s just lost and needing help.Tyler.. He’s is a Maddox so he’s a swoon worthy, alpha, that’s hot as sin with a heart of gold and I am completely in LOVE with him. How could you not be? Tyler was somewhat trying to help Ellie, but it got the point where he was enabling her. He was watching her defuse and was just waiting for her to erupt.I really enjoyed how you were able to see all the other stories at different aspects. It was an eye opener and simply intriguing. It made me want to go back and read all the stories all over again.I would have really like to have some of the story in Tyler’s Point of view, I think that was all that was really missing from the story.I can’t say it’s a perfect conclusion to the Maddox brother series because I never wanted to see the series come to an end but I can say it’s pretty darn close!

⭐ Just finished this book and i’m a little speechless. I feel raw and thru the ringer. I have to say i think this book was the most emotional roller coaster of them all. You fall in love with another Maddox boy and i have to say after Travis, Tyler is my next favorite. He’s….well he’s a Maddox. When a Maddox falls in love they fall in love forever. They will go thru fire for their girl.Ellie is full of issues and i think the most disturbed woman of the series. She’s rough and completly different than what we are used to. I liked it however it can get tiring from time to time. You want to smack her and say “HEY WAKE UP!! Do you realize a Maddox loves you!?!”I’m sad the series this series is over but knowing Jamie she has tricks up her sleeves and we’ll always get a Maddox fill. I”m anxious to see Trex’s story and of course the Trent/Cami book 2.If you are a Maddox fan and enjoy a little fire give this book a try.Until then I’ll wait and re-read my Maddox boys.

⭐ I Love the Maddox brothers! Tyler reminds me a lot of Travis. He is light hearted and loves fiercely!! In this book we meet Ellie, she sees Tyler only as a one night stand, she does not let people get close. Tyler feels the same way but they both feel the electricity between them during that one night. Tyler insists they be friends the next day and she just acts like a mean bitch towards him every time they meet. Ellie is from a very rich, well known family and they have had enough with her wild, partying ways and have cut her off. Ellie finds a job and keeps running into Tyler….even though she is not the nicest he breaks her down and she lets him in. I love this story . I love seeing Ellie find out who she really is and learns to take care of herself and not her family. Grab this if you love the Maddox brothers!

⭐ Jamie has done it again, delivering another addictive and stunning story in the Maddox Brothers series. I was not at all surprised by how much in enjoyed reading about Tyler Maddox. Each of the brothers has their own unique personality, but at their core they possess that pure Maddox flair that is unmatched. The one thing I was surprised at is now much I loved Ellie! Abby has been my favorite female lead in the series up to this point, but I have to say that Ellie may have pushed her out of her spot, or they are neck and neck. Ellie has a quick wit and smart mouth on her that I can definitely get down with. Ellie’s back story is so unique and different from any of the other female characters thus far. She comes with her own set of issues and battles, but there is a fresh spin to her story that sucked me in.Nobody does dialogue like Jamie McGuire. The back and forth banter between the characters is fast paced and highly entertaining.Once again, 5 stars for Jamie!

⭐ I wish I could rate this book higher, but it won’t let me. Jamie McGuire and Beautiful Disaster got me back into reading. I loved every second of that book. Then I read Walking Disaster and it easily became my favorite. Each book in the Maddox series has blown me away. Beautiful Redemption got close to taking the top spot for me, it was tied with Walking Disaster. However, Beautiful Burn topped them both. That is a huge statement for me. I never thought any of the brothers would top Travis, but they’ve all given him a run from his money. None more than Tyler.Tyler reminds me so much of Travis, or maybe it’s the other way around since Tyler is older. Tyler is a Maddox. He loves with all his heart. He fights for what he wants. He doesn’t give up. Tyler stands by your side, no matter what. He loves fiercely, who doesn’t love that.Ellie, well I loved her. There were times I wanted to slap the s**t out of her. It’s funny, I had the same thoughts about Abby. I hated that she tried to destroy what her and Tyler had, but I could see why she did it. There were times my heart broke for her, and times I was so proud of her. Ellie held her own with 20 hotshots, the Maddox clan, and even Abby. I loved her.I loved the different aspects of this book. Jamie took her writing to whole other level with Beautiful Burn, which I didn’t think was even possible. Her writing just keeps getting better and better. Beautiful Burn pulls you in from page one and keeps you enthralled through the rest. I loved learning about the hotshots and what they do. I loved getting all of that information. Jamie didn’t shy away from issues, and I loved that.Addiction is no joke. It can tear up a person, relationships, a family. It’s okay to ask for help, sometimes we can’t do things alone.I highlighted more parts of this book, than any others and that’s a lot. I could go on, for days, about Beautiful Burn and why it’s astounding, but I think I’ll just go reread it again. It’s that good.Abby said it best, “When a Maddox boy falls in love, he loves forever.””And believe me … these boys … when they’re happy? It’s like living in a fairy tale. They don’t know how to half-a** anything, and loving someone is no exception.”Pick this book up, one click it now, don’t hesitate. It’s a beautiful, heartbreaking, shocking, unbelievable, breathtaking, masterpiece. You don’t want to miss it.

⭐ If you haven’t read any of Jamie McGuire’s Beautiful series then you ought to be ashamed of yourself. Each book is filled with hot sexy fighter boys and no not MMA fighter boys; boys who know how to fight for what they want and the women they love. Yup the best kind of fighters. This book is about one of the twins, Tyler. Well he’s the Maddox boy we get to love all on this go round but the book is about Tyler and Ellison “Ellie” Edson. Tyler is just like all the other Maddox boys he loves hard and completely even when the object of his affection was putting up one helluva fight….I have a bad temper in general. Sending my gf flowers is not a good idea.I’m not your gf.Yet. Your not my gf yet. ~Tyler & EllieEllie is by far my favorite Maddox heroine. She was beautiful and completely broken. She didn’t hide her ugly and I applaud Ms. McGuire for showing us all of it. Ellie was real. Ellie’s journey was one I thoroughly enjoyed taking all the way down. As in…completely to hell and back. It was so enlightening to read. It was only made better by the man who loved her as he took that ride with her.”I’ve put you through hell,” I said, sinking into guilt so deeply I wasn’t sure I could crawl out. He looked up at me.”If you’re the fire, Ellie…I’ll burn” ~Ellie & TylerFunny thing about all of these books is they are told from the female’s POV. You would think that a series of books written about these 5 wonderful men we would at least get their POV or at least a dual POV but nope…and that’s just fine with me. Jamie McGuire knows how to weave the story just right that you love these boys through someone else’s eyes and don’t need to know what they’re thinking or how they feel. You can see it in the way they love and in the way they fight. So 5 FABULOUS stars for the final Maddox brother’s story. I loved every minute of this.

⭐ I didn’t feel a connection with the characters in this book. Like the last book with Falyn and Taylor they start off rocky with her being mean to him and him taking it because he likes it. We see her hit rock bottom and her struggle to stay sober. The people around her did not support her at all they knew her addiction to alcohol but they her continued to drink by taking her to bars or giving her drinks. I like the fact that Tyler sees how bad of a friend he was allowing her to do that.I found the relationships with her family and sterling to be really odd, yes they’re rich people with problems but they were extremely dysfunctional.I wonder if we would get a book about Fin and Sterling.I didn’t feel this book as I did the others I think it has to do with the fact that we’ve read events in the past 5 books and it was getting tiring. Things were dragged out and then some things towards the end felt rushed.I liked Tyler I felt he was the really sensitive one, he like his brothers love hard and I think he’s great to help Ellie with her path to recovery.

⭐ I absolutely loved this book. I adore the characters in this book. But I absolutely love love love the Maddox men. This story took everything in me and whirled me inside out. It was like watching a train wreck about to happen in a beautiful forest. You know there will be massive damage and heartbreak but right before it happens you notice the beauty around the impending doom. I did not put my kindle down. I cheered for the couple and in the same breath I’m shaking head and saying “oh hell no”. I don’t want to give any spoilers but I can say this if you like Jamie McGuire books, you’ll love this book. If you like Beautiful Disaster or any of this series, you’ll love this book. He’s alpha traits, strong willed, sexy as all hell, funny, and yes sometimes an ass….she’s smart (doesn’t realize it) sexually fluent, so damn flawed and yes an ass but when they come together it just works. Ms. McGuire I’m a huge fan don’t stop writing these scintillating, amazing “Beautiful” books. If you don’t have this book, GO OUT AND GET IT!!

⭐ This was not the story I thought it would be, it was so much more. I thought I had an idea of what Ellie and Tyler’s story would be, yeah I had no clue.Ellison Edson is one of the most real characters Jamie has written. She is on a path of self destruction taking down anyone in her path along the way. When protecting yourself means destroying someone else is not something everyone understands and gets. I see Ellie asking for help but not getting what she needs, she is beautifully broken and just keeps sinking deeper. Until she is cut off and force to take care of herself, she finds a part of herself, and she finds something she loves to do and is really good at but her drinking is getting out of hand. She keeps hurting the people that love her the most and until she seeks help she will just keep destroying.Tyler Maddox is what Ellie needs someone to love her through the rough parts and we all know that when a Maddox boy falls in love it’s forever. Their “friends with benefits” relationship is hard to watch, but beautifully written you can’t help but hope for the happy ending.Sometime hitting rock bottom is the thing you need to do before you get up and fight.I loved this entire book, it was real, it was gritty, it was more than I expected.

⭐ This book was a bit different than the others, but not in a bad way. Just different. Redemption was also told from the female lead’s POV so the fact that this book was also told that way did not bother me. You can still fall in love with a Maddox if you are not in their head. Of all the Madoxx’s, Tyler is my 3rd favorite Maddox brother only because–and I hate to say it–but he had a little more self-preservation in his personality than the others. He was at times more selfish than the others have been. Trent and Travis (my #1 and #2) were more committed to fight for the love for their women. However Tyler’s unashamed self-awareness and Hotshot leader qualities make him my #3. Ellie is nothing like the other love interests which is refreshing and at the same time annoying because in all the other books you are at all times certain that they loved their Maddox man. With Ellie, you were always certain she loved herself more until the end. I guess these two were made for each other since they both had to get over themselves. It was a great ride, and a great read however I held back the 5th star because at the end, everything was resolved and “fixed” all to quickly after having spent the entire book in angst. Can’t wait for the next two books!! Jamie McGuire is one of my favorite authors.
