Description

⭐ Me agradó mucho

⭐ I had all of Sven Hassel books back in the early seventies when I was in the armed forces but gave them all away. So I tried to re-capture the essence but it didn’t work. I think it is because some of the books are not originals but later editions. The read has not changed, so if you like a good war story of a penal battalion with a group of misfits then you will like these books. I really enjoyed Liquidate Paris, Monte Cassino and Wheels of Terror.

⭐ Great book!

Keine Empfehlung!

Wheels of Terror: The Graphic Novel by Sven Hassel (MOBI)

Stationed on the Eastern Front and now equipped with armoured vehicles, Sven Hassel and his comrades from the 27th Penal Regiment fight on remorselessly . . . All of them should be dead: life expectancy on the Front is measured in weeks. But Sven, Porta, the Old Un and the Legionnaire fight to the end, not for Germany, not for Hitler, but for survival.

Reign of Hell (Legion of the Damned Book 9) by Sven Hassel (MOBI)

A sudden curtain of silence fell over the burning city. All that could be heard was the steady crackling of flames... Hitler's penal regiments advance on Poland. Himmler has given the order: Warsaw must be razed to the ground.

O.G.P.U. Prison by Sven Hassel (Epub)

It stood at the top of the hill, dominating the Russian landscape, menacing and impenetrable: the O.G.P.U Prison. Although they had no tanks to protect them, Porta and his fellow fighters were told to take it in any way they could—with machine guns, flamethrowers, entrenching tools, their bare hands if need be. But although they were used to war with its death and vile savagery, O.G.P.U. Prison was something different. This place was a hell they hadn’t encountered before, a bastion, an inferno that rained blood and butchery on Porta, the Legionnaire, Tiny, Barcelona and the men of the Panzer battalion.

O.G.P.U. Prison (Legion of the Damned Book 13) by Sven Hassel (MOBI)

The Russian uses his machine pistol like a scythe. Feldwebel remains standing for a fraction of a second. The rain of bullets pours into him, making him twitch violently. He falls to the floor. The Russian grins. There is no doubt that he is enjoying himself.

Monte Cassino (Legion of the Damned Book 6) by Sven Hassel (MOBI)

Having survived the horrors of the Eastern Front, the 27th Penal Regiment are posted to Italy. Hitler has ordered that every position must be held to the last, and every lost position recaptured by counter-attack.

March Battalion by Sven Hassel (Epub)

Danger was forgotten, death was forgotten, the war was forgotten. They only knew they had to kill... The figures in khaki were no longer soldiers, no longer men.

Liquidate Paris (Legion of the Damned Book 7) by Sven Hassel (image/x-quicktime)

I had a grenade in my hand. So, no doubt, did the English private. I tore out the pin with my teeth. Lay there and counted. Twenty-one, twenty-two, twenty-three, twenty-four...

Legion of the Damned by Sven Hassel (Epub)

Convicted of deserting the German army, Sven Hassel is sent to a penal regiment on the Russian Front. He and his comrades are regarded as expendable, cannon fodder in the battle against the implacable Red Army. Outnumbered and outgunned, they fight their way across the frozen steppe...
